YOU CAN GET OUT OF DEPRESSION
If you are facing depression now, please know that you are not alone. There are many people out there who have the same problem, just that you may not know who they are. You may know the reasons why but most of the time you just don't know why you are behaving like that. In my opinion it is usually being triggered by a certain problem that we face and we think that we got no solution for it. When we think that we have got no solution for our problem we began to feel hopeless. That's when the problem starts. The very feeling of hopelessness will prevent us from trying again. I think it is better not to ask why you are like that but instead to ask HOW to get out of it. I would like to share with you what I did to get out of my depression a few years ago. I struggled with depression for six months. During the period I practically did nothing. I just hid myself at home. Did not go to work. Did not want to meet anyone. I was feeling very sad, hopeless. I lost interest in everything. At times suicidal thoughts flashed through my mind. But looking at my three children I told myself that I could not make them fatherless. My wife did not understand me. She thought that I have became very lazy and did not want to go out to work. She felt so insecured and frustrated during that period as she was not working and seeing me idling at home. In actual fact she did not understand what is depression because she has never experienced it herself and neither her family members have this problem.
So how did I get out of it ? At first I did like most of you did I think, I kept asking WHY, I bought books on depression and tried to understand myself but at the end I found there is no one solution to it. But fortunately I have friends who recovered from depression, knew that I was going through the same problem came and talk to me. They told me that they had the same problem before and that they are OK now. That's when I started to opened up myself slowly and started sharing my problem. So it is very important for us to talk to people who care for us and share our problems. I felt much relief and better after pouring out my problems to my friend. I began to feel there is hope after all. Then I started to do exercise. I started to do some light jogging. I felt better each time I exercised. So that encouraged me to continue. I began to come out a few days a week to meet people for a while including to my office. I remembered reading from a book that is very important to eat nutritious food because our brain really needs it at this time. So I began to eat more regularly and more healthy food. Now I realised that the healthy food that I took really helped me a lot. I did consulted psychiatrist but the anti depressant that I was prescribed made me felt very groggy and lousy. So I stopped taking it after a few times and told myself that I will try to get out of it without medication.
Now I realised that many people out there are having the same problem. It is actually common but a lot of people are shy about it because they thought it is a stigma to be in depression. Let me tell you there are even people who we would not know that they are having depression after meeting them because they put up an OK impression in front of you. But in actual fact inside them they are lost.
So brothers and sisters know that you are not alone. So talk to someone you can trust and who care for you. Eat healthy food. Must exercise, every day if possible. Go out to the nature, the park, waterfall, forest and enjoy the beauty of God's creations.

Be Happay
Hi happy morning this is my first posting. I have been procrastinating a while before I get to take action.
What I like to ask is why is there so many unhappy people out there including those who have everything in life ? Normally we thought that only the poor are not happy but I found out that this is not so. I have known people including my friends who are rich but seems not to have peace of mind. Some can not sleep soundly in the night. Maybe rich people have more problems ? But then I thought only the poor have more problems.
So why ? So how to be more happy when you are poor, average and rich ? I wish to share some thoughts that I think will help us to be live more happily. To have peace of mind I believe we must be in harmony with our ourselves. How ? First we have to learn to forgive ourselves. Many times we carry burden of regrets or gilts for things that we did or did not do. We have to let go of our selves and stop carrying the burdens. Before we expect people to forgive us we should first forgive ourselves. It is only then that we can accept forgivness from others.
Second we should forgive others. Whoever they are, our parents, siblings, relatives, friends, acquiantances and no matter what they have done to us. You see when we continue to hate somebody,we ourselves are carrying the burden. And if the hatred is deep enough we may start to develop some sickness, first emotional sickness then physical sickness. I know sometimes it is not easy to forgive some one when he or she had done terrible things to you. But they are all in the past. We should let go the past and look to the future. Yes I understand it is not easy to forget but we can FORGIVE.
Third we should try to share and give whenever we can. When we hoard whatever we have, it will not grow. I believe the more we give the more we will recieve. You can be more happy giving then receiving. So when we have extra we should try to learn to give. When we have time we should try to share our time with others who need someone to be around just to listen or support. When we have extra material things we should try to share with others who may have none. When we have knowledge or wisdom we should share or advice others who are in need of them. It is only through sharing and giving that I believe we can be more fulfilled in life.
Forth as we become more succesful in life we should try to help others along the way so that more people can become successful. We will automatically feel good when we know that we have contributed to the success of others. So as you go along your journey of success in life please pull along as many as you can.
Fifth we should try our best to grow and expand in life. If you are a business man it will be good if your company can grow and provide more jobs. If you are a teacher be a good one and teach more students both during and off school hours. If you are a mother improve yourself, spend more time with all your children. We should not be stagnant in life. We should try to grow in all ares of our life. When we grow and become better we will definitely feel more fulfilled in life.
